CISAC Blockbuster 2023 Global Collections Report

CISAC, the world federation of author and publisher collective management organizations, released a blockbuster 2023 Global Collections Report on October 26.

Sums collected around the world by its 225 members in 2022 have never been as high (at 12.1 billion euros) and the year over year increase (26.7%) has never been that steep.

Although still under 2019 levels, live and background music continue their post-pandemic rebound, broadcast continues to grow (although more slowly than other sources), and digital now represents the single biggest income source for creators and publishers.

This is great news and with rising financial stakes and complexity, it is more important than ever for rightsholders and rights managers to rely on the best tools and expertise to enable a fast, cost-effective, and reliable flow of royalties to all deserving rights holders.
